Agnes L. Richards, 99 of Streator passed away Tuesday morning (June 30th) at Heritage Health and Rehabilitation Health Care Center, Streator.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 12Noon – 2 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack and Billy Best, Jackie VonRuden, Todd and Dustin Cashmer, Tim and Tom Bradley and Keith Richards
Agnes was born on June 3, 1916 in Gilman, IL to Herman and Maude (Laue) Schunke. She married Irl Richards on June 15, 1940. He passed away on May 13, 1974.
Surviving is son Lawrence (Pat) Richards of Streator, daughters, Penny (Jack) Best of Princeton and Darlene Buchanan of Streator, 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Mary Ann Richards, grandson Jerry Richards, brothers Edwin, Herman and George, sisters Nellie Schmitt, Lizzie Zarka, Rose Kraft and Mildred Chedister.
She attended Grant Grade School and was a member of the Central Church of Christ and for 17 years she worked at the Streator Elks Lodge for their Wednesday night Bingo.
Memorials may be made to the Streator Elks Lodge.
