Anson L. Blue, 71 of Minonk and formerly of Streator passed away Monday morning (Nov. 26th)at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator.
A visitation will be held Friday from 4 - 7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 7PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW
Anson was born on January 8, 1941 in Henry to Ernest R. and Edna (Harlacher) Blue.
Surviving is a daughter Hope (Blue) Rogers and son-in-law Brandon Rogers Sr. of Streator, grandchildren Alexis and Brandon Jr. sister, Betty Majercin of Streator and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ernest, Ronald, George, Robert, and Darrel Blue, sisters, Helen Friede, Marlene Liston, Barbara Rogers, and Rosemary and Carol Blue.
Anson attended Streator High School and was a veteran of the US Army serving from Jan. 1964 till Jan. of 1966. He retired from Plymouth Tube and was a former member of the Streator Eagles Club.
