Anthony "Chuck" C. Bayer

Anthony C. “Chuck†Bayer, 79 of Grand Ridge passed away Wednesday morning (August 19th) at his home.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 1 – 4 PM at the Grand Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 4 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Chuck was born on October 3, 1935 in Ottawa to Anthony W. and Mabel (Seibert) Bayer. He married Donna Drake on July 6, 1968. She survives.
Also surviving are daughters Amy Persinger of Ottawa and Dawn (Michael) Jones of Armington, 5 grandchildren, Catherine, Christopher (Amber) and Colin Persinger, Samantha and Brandon Jones, 3 great-grandchildren, sister, Mabel Brue of Ottawa, brothers Richard Bayer of Ottawa and William (Sandy) Bayer of Brooksville, FL.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Chuck attended Ottawa Grade Schools and High School. He retired as a millwright and from Conroys in Ottawa after 30 years. Chuck was a member of the Grand Ridge United Methodist Church, Ottawa Moose Lodge and was for 17 ½ yrs with the Grand Ridge Fire Department. He also served in the US Navy and was a an avid fisherman.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Grand Ridge Fire Department.
