Arthur R. Watson

Arthur R. Watson, 77 of Streator passed away Thursday (December 1, 2022) at OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Bloomington.

Following cremation, a visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 am until 11:30 am at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 am at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.

Art was born on March 22, 1945, in Streator to Arthur and Hazel (Wilson) Watson.  He married Sandra Harlow on May 13, 1972.  She survives.

Also surviving is a daughter Amber (Chris) Matsko of Streator, grandchildren Mollie Lawless, Brayden and Riley Matsko, sisters, Zelma Caile of Orlando, FL, Fran Enockson of Ottawa, Nikki Holocker of Streator, and Nelda Rosado of  Naples, FL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Angela Watson, brothers Bill and Wendall and a sister Elaine Rogers.

Art graduated from Streator High School in 1963.  He served in the US Army.  He was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  Art retired from R.R. Donnelly and as the Bruce Township office manager. He enjoyed golfing, and bowling with the Streator Men’s Bowling League.
