Barbara Jane Flanery

Barbara “Janie†J. Flanery, 78 resident of the Pontiac Healthcare Center and formerly of Streator passed away Thursday evening (June 18th).
Visitation will be held Wednesday at 12 Noon until 2 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 PM at the Long Point United Methodist Church, Long Point. Burial will be in the Long Point Cemetery.
Barbara was born on September 18, 1936 in Streator to Arnold and Harriett (Poundstone) LaVelle.
Surviving are children, Debra (Robert) Hillier of Saunemin, Sterling Flanery Jr. of Streator, Tommy Flanery of Ottawa, Denise Flanery of Streator, Lisa (Jeff Christoffers) Thacker of Seneca and Lori (Michael) Ocull of S. Dakota, 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, brother Frank LaVelle of Streator and sisters Phyllis Dutko and Joann.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, son Michael, grandson Jordan, siblings Jim Alderson, Owen LaVelle, Lonnie LaVelle, Sherry Tunget, Duane LaVelle and Elizabeth in infancy.
She was of the Methodist faith.
