Beverly A. Calhoun

Beverly A. Calhoun, 87 of Streator passed away Tuesday evening (August 6, 2024) at the OSF Center for Health, Streator.

Visitation will be held Friday (Aug. 16th) from 12noon until 1p.m. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Beverly was born on November 18, 1936, in Chicago to James and Catherine (Case) Tait. She married David Calhoun on December 13, 1975. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2021.

Surviving are her children, Wendy McCloskey of Zion, IL, Thomas Vergonet of California, Linda Pennuto of Kentucky, Robert Vergonet of S. Carolina, Kenneth Vergonet of California, Susan Kleb of Texas and Catherine Calhoun of Florida, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sister-in-law June Tait of Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband David, 1 granddaughter and a brother Jim Tait.

Beverly graduated from Hirsch High School in Chicago was a secretary for a Lawyers Office for many years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, animals, others always came first, she loved children unconditionally and always saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
