Passed away Monday (Jan 5th) at his home
Visitation will be Wednesday (Jan 7th) from 5-7 PM
at the Winterrowd Funeral Home
Services will be Thursday (Jan 8th) at 11:00 AM
at the funeral home with Rev. Bryce Hays officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery
Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Nephews
Born, January 2, 1917 in Clarkston, Kentucky
Married Nolia Mae Wells on July 26, 1947, She survives
Surviving are:
1 Son - Gary (Cathy) Skaggs - Streator
1 Daughter - Alice (Gary) Williams - Streator
3 Sisters - Ilene Kinkade - Flanagan
Betty Marshall - McNabb, IL
Mary Skaggs - Streator
3 Grandchildren and 1 step-grandaughter
2 Great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren
Served in the Army with the occupational forces in the South Pacific during the War in 1945
He was a farmer in the Streator Area
Former Commander of the American Legion in Ransom
Member of the First United Methodist Church
Attended Long Point Grade School
Memorials may be given to The American Heart and Lung Association
He was a loving and caring man who dedicated his life to helping others and making his family happy.
He also loved woodworking.
