Carl Francis Dennis Sr. 58 of Streator passed away Wednesday (May 30th) at St. Mary's Hospital.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will held on Tuesday at 11AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery.
Carl was born on August 15, 1953 in Streator, IL to Matthew and Evelyn (Wiseman) Dennis, Sr.
He married Donna Nicklin on July 26, 1975. She survives.
Also surviving are children, Christina (Eric Watchinski) Dennis of Streator, Mary (Tom Carvish) Dennis of Streator, Carl Dennis, Jr. of Macon, IL, and Lisa (Demiterus) Perry of Wenona, 9 grandchildren, Breanna Dennis, Dylan Milby, Monica Dennis, Kaitlyn, Emma, Demiterus, Clayton, and Sean Dennis, and Abby Watchinski, brothers, Dan (Harriet) Dennis of Rutland, Jerry (Marsha) Dennis of Streator, and Matthew Dennis, Jr. of Rutland, sisters, Barbara Oakes of Manville, and Beverly Collins of Streator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Dennis, mother-in-law, Mary Nicklin, and sister-in-law, Debbie Dennis.
Carl attended Woodland grade school and graduated Pontiac High School.
He was a laborer for Local Union #393 in Marseilles. He was a former member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Streator.
