Carl J Ishee

Carl J. Ishee, 66 of Streator passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Saturday April 30, 2016.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 3 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow the visitation Thursday evening.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rick Berg, Joe Berg, Ron Brue, Travis Brue, Jim Bushma and Jimmy Livingood.

Carl was born on April 4, 1950 in Taylorville, Mississippi to Julius “Pete” and Mildred Paulean (Pitts) Ishee.

In 1985 he married Suzanne Lenhausen, who survives.

Carl is survived by his wife Suzanne, son, Brian (Melissa) Ishee of Bristol, WI, 5 daughters, Renae Stimac of Normal, Laura (John) Brolley of Frankfort,  Angela (John) Scheerer of Frankfort, Mandi (Beau) Albert of Streator and Wendy Carrillo of Streator, 11 grandchildren, Lilliana, Georgia, Evan, Charlie, Penelope, Matt, Riley, Natali, Jack, Fallyn and Savana, brother, Eugene Ishee of Bethany, sisters, Betty (Red) Vaught of Gulf Port, MS, Mary (Jimmy) Livingood of Bethany and Linda (Albert) Allen of Collinsville and his loving nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Joseph Ishee, son William C. Cusac.

Carl’s passion was hunting and fishing.  He enjoyed spending time in Olney with his loving wife and great friends, after retiring from Owens after 41 yrs.  He was a longtime active member of the Sandy Ford Sportsman Club.  Every morning he made his daily calls and snapchats to his family and friends then he was always “fixin” to get something done or “fixin” to go somewhere.  The love and memories he created with his family and friends are strong and deep, they are now treasures for all to keep.
