Carolyn J. Himan, 75, of Streator passed away Tuesday (Nov. 19th) at Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Carolyn was born on February 12, 1938 in Streator, IL to William and Camilla (James) Shinkey.
She married Robert Himan on December 23, 1955. He passed away April 19, 2013.
Surviving are sons, Robert (Melody) Himan, Jr. of Dekalb, and Ronald (Brenda) Himan of Streator, and daughter Sherri Fletcher of Streator, 7 grandchildren, Derek Himan of Warsaw, Kyle Himan of Peru, Brandon (Katie) Himan of Streator, Aaron Himan of Fort Bliss, Texas, Amanda (Jim) Tessman of Missouri and Alyssa and Josie Fletcher both of Streator, brothers, John (Sandy) Shinkey of Long Point and Edward (Brenda) Doden of Oklahoma and sister Pat Sutton of New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, David.
Carolyn graduated from Streator High School in 1955 and was formerly employed at Spurgeon’s. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, and the Streator Moose and Eagles and served as past President of Eagles Aux. She enjoyed camping, playing bingo, bowling and volunteering at Operation Sharing at First Assembly of God Church.
