Carolyn M. Hoffner 75, of Streator passed away Sunday (Feb. 3rd) at St. Maryâs Hospital.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-6:30PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 6:30PM at the funeral home.
Carolyn was born on June 24, 1937 in Terre Haute, IN to Gilbert and Helen (Hess) Case.
She married Norman Hoffner on July 1, 1979. He passed away August 7, 2001.
Surviving are 3 sons, Erick (Karen) Hallam of Jonesboro, IL, Aaron (Sue) Hallam of LaPorte, IN, and Gregory (Jessica) Hallam II of Chicago, , daughters, Victoria (Steve) Richards of Las Vegas, and Robin Umphrey of LaPorte, IN, and step-daughter, Lori Behrens of Georgia, step-son, Jeffrey (Vicky) Hoffner of Streator 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and brother, Thomas (Juanita) Case, Sr. of Blackstone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Scott Hallam and brother, Charles William Case.
Carolyn attended Long Point Grade School, graduated from Woodland High School in 1955 and attended Ball State University in Muncie, IN.
She retired from Owens Illinois Glass.
Carolyn was a member of the Eastern Star, Women of the Moose, Streator Eagles Auxiliary, and The Red Hat Ladies. She enjoyed making afghans for family and friends.
