Catherine Ann Umbarger-Livengood
March 29, 1951 to September 16, 2015
As some of you know my mom lost her battle with cancer, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 and was able to pass away peacefully. She fought extremely hard over the past six months and remained positive despite the numerous challenges she faced. I've never seen someone have such a yearn for life and stay so brave. She was absolutely beautiful in every aspect possible and one of the most caring, people you could ever meet. Even until the end she always put other people before herself and worried about everyoneâs well being. In addition to being the oldest of twelve brothers and sisters she was the best care taker and mom that anyone could ever ask for. She showed me the world and I owe everything in my life to her. She was my best friend and it is extremely difficult to imagine the world without her. Why bad things can happen to such an amazing person are beyond me. My step dad and I will work our hardest to make you proud mom for the rest of our lives. You truly made the world and life so bright, with so much love. God is lucky to have you by his side. Say hi to my dad for me and I will hold you in my heart every day. (Written by her son Derek)
