Charolette Rose McDonald, 76 of Streator passed away Thursday afternoon (July 13th) surrounded by her family at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 3 – 5 PM at the WInterrowd Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday at 5 PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services and burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
Rose was born on November 24, 1940 in Odell to Henry and Bernice (Harsted) Cagley. She married Theodore “Ted” McDonald on August 17, 1957. He survives.
Also surviving are children Spencer (Sharon) McDonald of Bloomington, Kay Bertchi of Texas, Susan (Clyde) Baker of Streator, Theodore (Jamie) McDonald of Streator, Brenda (Jeff) Callahan of Rushville, Becky (Gary) Jennings of N. Carolina, Bonny McDonald Goplin of Streator and Serena Saubert of Ottawa, 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Wanda Cagley of Gardner and brother-in-law Don Janney of Florida and several nieces and nephews
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Merle Cagley, sisters Marge Geiger and Marcella Janney and a nephew Bill Cagley.
Rose attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School. She was formerly a manger at Dunkin Donuts in Streator and Country Kitchen Restaurant in Ottawa and she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Kidney Foundation.
