Christine A. Berninger, 48, of Streator passed away Sunday (May 13th, 2012) at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday from 10-11AM at the Erven Avenue Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11AM at the church.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Christine was born on December 23, 1963 to Frank Joseph and Rose Marie (Walters) Katanich, Sr.
Surviving is daughter, Tesha (Nathan Nevin) Berninger of Streator, and son, Marcus Verdiramo of Streator, 3 grandchildren, Hannah, Aadyn, and Zoe Nevin, sisters, Kathy Rogers of Streator, and Penny Marcum of MI, brothers, William Katanich of Elk Horn, WI, Frank Katanich, Jr., of Streator, and Terry Classon of Elgin, and significant other, Mark Verdiramo of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She attended Woodland High School and was a member of the Pontiac Bible Church.
She loved her grandchildren and her animals.
