Connie (McClure) Spradling

Connie I. (McClure) Spradling, 64 of Cornell and formerly of Streator passed away Saturday, (January 25, 2025) in Indianapolis, IN.

Following cremation, a visitation will be held Friday (Feb. 7th) from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. A private family burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Connie was born on October 31, 1960, in Galesburg to Ernest and Mildred (Gudgell) McClure. She married Richard Spradling on November 1, 2001. He survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Rachelle (Roderick) Rogers-Hankins of Streator, Christine Rogers of Tonica, Rebecca Spradling of Streator and Alexis (Adam) Stone of Cornell, 10 grandchildren, brothers William (Meg) McClure of Wisconsin, Ralph (Susan) McClure of Odell, sisters, Mary Ann Prignano of Glendale Heights and Betty Reihl of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother David and a sister Hildegarde Burgess.

Connie attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School. She was formerly employed at Oogie’s Restaurant, Anna’s Pizzeria, Teleperformance and Results. She was always known to be able to sell ice to an eskimo. She always enjoyed playing cards and drinking coffee.

Connie was a donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital so any memorials may be made to them in her name.
