Darlene Denise Washington

Darlene Denise Washington, 64 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (April 5^th) at her home.

A visitation will be held Saturday (April 14^th) from 11 – 1 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services.

Darlene was born on April 17, 1953 in Streator to James William and Laverne (Banks) Duncan.  She married Charles Washington in 1982.  He survives.

Also surviving are children James William (Jennifer) Duncan of Streator, Renee (Lewis) Berry of Freeport, Jeffrey (Georgean) Austin of Streator, step children Derek (Leah) Washington of Streator and Nicole Washington of Streator, 10 grandchildren, Lewis Duncan, James Freddericke, Lynette Duncan, Lucrecia Berry, Jeffrey Austin Jr and Zandar Austin,Cori and Maurice Cunningham, Derek and Avin Washington,  3 great-grandchildren, sisters Winifred Hightower of Bloomington, Dyan Tyler of Atlanta, GA and Dorene Wade of Streator, brother Dean (Sandy) Duncan of Streator and a host of nieces and nephews.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, a son Kevin Duncan and 1 grandson Matthew.

She attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School and was a member of the Erven Ave. Baptist Church.

Darlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a aunt and will be missed by all.
