Darrell Lee Estes, 56 of Streator passed away Friday afternoon (March 1st) at his home.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 5 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Eastman, Steve Sendelbach, Thoeun Tao, Jeremy and Dan Estes and Mike Davis.
Darrell was born on April 5, 1962 in Peoria to Howard and Madalyn (Schafer) Estes. He married Ma Isabel Racho on October 24, 2014. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother Madalyn Zoss of Streator, foster parents, Jack and Vicky Davis of Henry, brothers Dale Estes and Daniel (Linda) Estes, sister Diane Delgado all of Streator and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father Howard Estes and a nephew John T. Smith Jr.
He attended Midland County Jr High School and graduated from the Henry-Senachwine High School in 1981. He was employed for 30 years as a welder at Flinks Co. until his health declined. Darrell was a member of United Steelworkers Local 31G, past member of the Streator Lazy Acres Club. He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, fishing, walking in the woods and spending time with family and friends.
