David Lee Cross

David “Dave” Lee Cross, 46 of Streator passed away Friday evening (December 29, 2017) at Heritage Health and Rehabilitation Care Center, Minonk.

A visitation will be held Friday from 4 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Curtis Starner officiating.  Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will son, David Cross Jr., Ethan Stimmell, Bobby Kinkade, Mark Krebsbach, John Finney and Tim Scott

Dave was born on October 26, 1971 in Streator to Chester Marvin David Cross and Vickie Taylor.

He is survived by children Danielle Burrow of Oklahoma, David Cross of Streator, Carrie Cross of Wilmington, Channa Cross of Streator, Trinity Cross of Long Point, Makenzie and Shyla  Cross both of Long Point, step-children Sara Cox of Streator, Karen Joe Arozamena of Peru and Coby Hays of Long Point, 7 grandchildren, mother and step father Vickie and Mike Voytko of Streator, sisters Danielle (John Finney) Kacvinsky of Streator and Dawn Reynolds of Texas, nephews Ethan Stimmell, Andrew and Cameron Reynolds, maternal grandmother Norma VeZain of Ottawa.

He is preceded in death by his father, maternal grandfather Arthur Taylor and paternal grandmother Mary Woods.

Dave attended Streator Grade Schools and high school in Oklahoma.  He was self-employed and affiliated with Erven Avenue Baptist Church.  Dave enjoyed Nascar racing, being outdoors, motorcycling, and watching the Dallas Cowboys Football.
