David A. Eggers

David A. Eggers, 54 of Streator passed away Friday morning (May 20^th) at his home.

A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 – 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Services will be held Tuesday at 12noon at the funeral home with military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.  Cremation rites will follow services and a private family burial will be in the Phillips Cemetery.

David was born on September 13, 1961 in Streator to David M. and Loretta J. (Hall) Eggers.  He married Brenda Johnson on March 7, 1996.  She survives.

Also surviving are sons Alfred Miller and Jason Eggers both of North Carolina, granddaughter Claire Eggers of North Carolina, sister Lori (Scott) Holland of Streator, brothers-in-law Billy (Renee) Johnson of Ottawa, Mark Johnson of Jacksonville, FL, Bob (Carla) Plowman of Westmont and Pooder Plowman of Bloomington and several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Max.

David is preceded in by his parents.

He attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1978 and served in the US Marines and was a lifetime member of the Streator VFW Post 1492.
