David K. Martin, 61 of Streator passed away Thursday evening (Feb. 6th) at St. Mary’s Hospital.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12 Noon-3PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 3PM at the funeral home.
Cremation rites will follow services.
He was born July 13, 1952 in Windfield, Alabama to Ernest and Bessie (Haney) Martin.
He married Debra Pruden on July 17, 1971. She survives.
Surviving is a daughter Lori Harrod of Davenport IA, sons, David Martin of Ottawa and Daniel (Shai) Martin of Streator, 7 grandchildren, Brandon, Erin, Michael, Hannah, Lauren, Daniel and Robert , 3 great grandchildren, Adriana, Makayla and Jeremiah, sisters, Linda (Carl) Schneckloth of Rock Island, Malene (Paul)Maddox of Little Rock, Arkansas and Betty Lemaster of Arizona.
David was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Jean Sandlin and Carol Aldridge.
He graduated from Moline High School in 1970 and worked at Caterpillar in Pontiac for 33 years retiring in 2003.
David enjoyed gardening, painting, music, card playing and grilling.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the Donor’s Choice.
