Dolores Mercedes (Andrick) Ott, 94, of Grand Ridge died May 7, 2024. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 14 at Grand Ridge Funeral Home with visitation from 10 am - 12 pm with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Ottawa.
Dolores was born on October 9, 1929, to Alexander and Bernice Ryan Andrick in Chicago. She was one of six daughters.
Dolores married William John Ott on July 14, 1947, in Chicago and they lived in Grand Ridge, until her death.
Dolores was very active in her community, serving as Village Clerk for many years. She is one of the founders of the original Grand Ridge Park Board, a member of the Methodist Church in Grand Ridge, a Grand Ridge Fest Board Member and ran the annual art show until 2023. Dolores was a self-taught artist and enjoyed her art club for many years.
Dolores was a beautician by trade and enjoyed her beauty shop in her home. She loved art, golf, fishing, old movies, euchre, and her family.
She is survived by her children Ronald (Cathy) of Seneca; Terrence (Debbie) of Scenic, AZ; Barbara (Guy) Lockhart of Willis, TX; Kevin (Sally) of Long Beach, MS; and Michael of Moore, SC; three sisters, JoAnn, Maryanne, and Audrey; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, John, Dan and Patrick Postlewait, Bill Lockhart, Ryan Ott and Thomas Ott. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Kristi Spurgeon, Jeni Lockhart, Kaiti Ott and Viki Yarusso.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband Bill a daughter Mary, and sisters Jean and Sandy.
Memorials may be made to the Grand Ridge Fire Department.
