Donald L. Cameron

Donald L. Cameron, 84 of Streator passed away peacefully at his home on Friday (December 6, 2024) surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10a.m. until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12noon at the funeral home with grandson Donny Jewett officiating.

Burial will be in the Grand Ridge Cemetery. 

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Isaac Jewett, Forrest Smith, Andrew and Michael Wheeler, Brian Biros and Luke Hawthorne.

Donald was born on July 15, 1940, in Morris to James and Rose Cameron. He married Madge Mondy on August 6, 1960. She preceded him in death on April 18, 2020.

Surviving are daughters Kimberly (Tom) Jewett and Foy Wheeler both of Ottawa and Shannan Cameron of Streator, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, a sister Patty Shook of Myrtle Beach, SC and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Madge, brothers Tony and Jim, sisters Mary Shannon and Dixie Swore.

Donald attended school in Morris and then joined the US Army. After his time in the service Donald drove a truck for Tri State, Ringle Express and Air Products. He retired from Air Products in 2000 and enjoyed retirement with his wife.
