Donald B. Harlan Sr.

Donald B. Harlan Sr. 90 of Streator passed away Monday evening (August 27^th) at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 – 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at the funeral home with military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.  Burial will be in the Odell Union Twp Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jay Loftis, Jesse James Sr, James Harlan Jr, Jose Canales, Paul Lee Maness and Chris Patton.

Don was born on March 9, 1928 in Pontiac to Hobert Smith and Mary Catherine (Kranz) Harlan Sr.

He married Sandra Maness on July 31, 1976.  She survives.

Also surviving are children Donald “Butch” (Rita) Harlan of Streator, Sandra (Glenn) Michaels of Streator, Ronald Harlan of Streator, James (Sandy Shartzer) Harlan Sr of Streator, David (Diane) Harlan Sr of Streator, Michael Harlan Sr of Streator, Louis (Judy) Harlan of Rutland, Frank (Lisa) Harlan of Batesville, AR, Brian (Esther) Harlan of Streator, Kristie (Jesse) James of Streator, Pamela Danko of Streator and Kimberly (Jose) Canales of Joliet, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Hobert “Webb” Harlan of AL and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Robert and John Harlan Sr.

Don attended the Odell Grade School and served in the US Navy.  He retired from Vactor Mfg and also helped his wife at the B&K Auto Sales.
