Donald K. Lanning, 81 of McNabb passed away Thursday (Jan. 10th), 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 8:30-10:30AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30AM at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Adamson officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Greg Rosecrans.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Jessica Bruce and Sandra Dawson, and great granddaughters, Alexis, Abigail, and Halie Lanning. Pallbearers will be Daniel Lanning, Sr, David Lanning, Sr, Daniel Lanning, Jr., David Lanning, Jr, Jerry Lanning and Ed Entwistle.
Donald was born on July 26, 1931 in Streator, IL to Earl Alvin and Susan (Padgett) Lanning.
He married Mary Lou Epley on December 4, 1954. She passed away January 16, 2012.
Surviving are sons, Daniel (Joyce) Lanning, Sr., and David (Judy) Lanning, Sr., both of Streator, 4 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter in infancy, Darlene Lanning, grandson, Shane Lanning, brothers, Ray, Max, Alvin, Floyd, and Russ Lanning, and sister, Alta Mootz.
Donald attended Streator grade schools and worked at Thatcher Glass for 29 years. He was a member of the Streator Moose and attended the Sr. Center in Standard, IL. He was affiliated with the Faith Assembly of God in Peru.
Memorials may be directed to Faith Assembly of God Church in Peru or the family of Donald Lanning.
