Donna D. Ruberstell

Donna D. Ruberstell, 85 of Streator passed away Monday morning (April 15, 2024) at her home.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 10 – 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with services held at 12noon at the funeral home.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua, Blayton and Derek Ruberstell, Rick Clayton, Jeremiah Selvidge, Jordan Kiley and Luke Gensler.

Donna was born on July 14, 1938, in Streator to Homer and Frances (Shunk) Johnston.  She married Anthony J. Rubertstell Sr on November 25, 1959.   He preceded her in death on March 7, 2002.

Surviving are, stepson, Dominic “Ted” (Susan) Ruberstell of Milstadt, Ron (Mary Louise) Rubertstell of Streator, Allen (Lisa) Ruberstell of Baxter, TN, Frances (Rick) Clayton of Streator, Tina Missel of Princeton, Toni Parks of Streator, and Charles (Nikki) Rubertstell of Cornell, 36 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Anthony, stepsons Joseph and Dick, stepdaughter Mary Sue Baumann, grandson Brian Ruberstell, great granddaughter Alexis Ruberstell, brothers, Jack and Larry Johnston, sisters Betty Ross and Pat Palaschak.

Donna attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School.  She retired from Red Wing in 1999.  She was a member of the Central Church of Christ and the Streator Moose Lodge.

Memorials may be made in her to name to Moose heart or Moose Haven.
