Dorothy H Barton

Dorothy H. (Rich) Barton, 99 of Streator passed away Wednesday afternoon (December 9^th) at Heritage Health, Streator.

A visitation will be held Monday (December 14^th) from 9 – 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Jon Hackler, Chuck Daniels, Dan Poldek, Dan Barth, Hubert Tucker, Ed Voights and honorary, Max Barton.

Dorothy was born on June 23, 1916 in Streator to Dell and Caroline Rich.  She married Vernon Barton on June 1, 1939.  He passed away on November 2, 1979.

Surviving is son, Gary (Susan) Barton of Streator, granddaughter, Stacie (Jon) Barton Hackler of Springfield, 2 great-grandsons, Noah and Lucas Hackler, sister, Laurabelle Williams of Streator, brother-in-law, Max Barton of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, 3 children in infancy, sister, Velma Yerk and brothers, Teddy, Floyd, Harold, Melvin and Raymond Rich.

Dorothy was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church and retired from Owen’s Illinois Glass in 1977 and was a member of the Golden Emblem Club.

Memorials may be made in her name to Heritage Health, Streator.
