Dorothy M. Kooi, 81 of Streator passed away Sunday morning (Jan. 9th) at St. Mary's Hospital.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from Noon-2PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Joshua Sears, Ed Hunter, Bill Gaefcke, Fritz Gaefcke, Chuck Richoz, Jr., and Dennis Schmitt.
Dorothy was born January 3, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Ira and Ethel (Bromley) Samuels.
She married Ronald Kooi on June 28, 1956. He passed away December 5, 1996.
Surviving is daughter, Sherry (Tim) Sears of Streator, 2 grandchildren, Joshua and Heather Sears, sisters, Helen Gaefcke and Shirley Hunter both of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Dabler, and sister, Donna Schmitt.
Dorothy was a member of The First United Methodist Church. She retired from Thatcher Glass in 1990.
