Dorothy K. Pellegrine

July 8, 1926 — April 28, 2021

Dorothy K. Pellegrine, 94 of Streator passed away peacefully in her sleep early Wednesday morning (April 28, 2021) at Heritage Health in Streator.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday (May 4th) at 10 AM at St. Mary's Cemetery.  The Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy was born on July 8, 1926 in Genoa City, WI to John and Mary (Surgel) Giza.  

Surviving are children, Gary (Susan) Pellegrine of TN, Dennis Pellegrine of Streator and David (Cricket) Pellegrine of Montgomery, IL, 6 grandchildren, Amy Pellegrine (Kyle) Cordes, Emily Hall, Stephanie Pellegrine (David) Schuster, Jacob Pellegrine, Caitlin Pellegrine and Ashley Smith and 4 great-grandchildren, Emma and Sam Cordes and Ariana, David and Caleb Schuster.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Lawrence Pellegrine in infancy, daughter, Darlene Hall, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.

Dorothy attended Chicago grade schools and high school.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Michael the Archangel Church.

She worked at Thatcher Glass for over 25 years.

Dorothy loved watching game shows and playing bingo. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was an avid Cubs and Green Bay Packers Fan.

Memorials may be made in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice, Heritage Manor Streator or Evergreen Place of Streator.
