Dorothy E. Richards, 90 of Streator passed away Saturday (Jan. 22nd) at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Streator.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, Wenona. Burial will be in Wenona Cemetery.
Dorothy was born March 29, 1920 in Toluca, IL to Albert and Margaret Fredricks.
She married Walter Cox. He passed away August 1969. She then married Walter Richards on February 16, 1974. He survives.
Also surviving is son, Walter A. Cox of Streator, and daughter, Donna (Richard) Daniels of Wenona, 5 Step-children, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, brother, Walter Fredricks of Metamora.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jonas, Benjamin, Albert, John, and Carl Fredricks, and sister, Hanna Gildin.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She attended schools in Toluca. She also attended St. John's Church in Toluca where she was confirmed.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Wenona.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
