Duwain "Red" L. Raridon

Duwain “Red†L. Raridon, 88 of LaSalle passed away Friday (Feb. 22nd 2013) at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10AM until 11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Long Point Cemetery with full military honor conducted by members of the Long Point and Streator American Legion and VFW. Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Durdan, Charles Durdan, Jon Durdan, Kevin Artman, Russ Artman and Chris Hunter.
Red was born on July 10, 1924 in Livingston County to Leslie and Anna (Davis) Raridon. He married Ruby Artman on February 20, 1955 and she passed away on September 21, 2011.
Surviving are sons Randy (Ginny) Raridon of LaSalle, Craig (Amy) Raridon of Azle, TX, 2 granddaughters, Jennifer and Nicole.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Mervin, sisters, Margaret Saatoff and Leatha Albertson.
Red attended Long Point Grade School and was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army.
He retired from LaSalle County Asphalt and was a member of the Long Point American Legion and the Utica Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of the donors choice.
