Edith M. Baker

Edith M. Baker, 97 of Streator passed away Monday January 3, 2022, at OSF St. James Hospital, Pontiac.

Private family services will be held at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with burial in Phillips Cemetery.
Edith was born on March 9, 1924, in Streator to William and Effie (Wirwick) Warwick. She married Walter Baker in 1948, he passed away in 1958.
Surviving are children; Glenn Baker, Clyde (Sue) Baker, Barbara (David) Sloan, Pamela Baker, Margery (Tom) Wissen, Janet (Roberto) Arevalo and Penelope Baker all of Streator, 8 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Edith is preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, daughter Marilyn Baker, sons, William and Richard, grandsons, David Baker and Andrew Dodge, 2 great-grandchildren, Christopher Wilkinson and Angel Nieto, brothers James and William Warwick, sisters, Phoebe Brown, Elizabeth Barber, Elsie Abbott and Janet Connell.
Edith attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Edith was a beloved mother, grandmother who took care of all her family and cared for everybody.
