Edna Richard

Edna “Mickey” Horton-Richard, 92 of Streator passed away Wednesday morning (August 11, 2021) at OSF St. James Hospital, Pontiac.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 11am until 1PMat the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Philip Richard, Pat Richard, Tim Lesak, Ryan Richard, Logan Richard, Luke Richard, Lauren Hudachko and Ron Ruberstell.

Honorary pallbearer, Kolton Hudachko.

Edna was born on September 18, 1928, in Streator to Joseph and Harriet (Hoit) Horton.

She is survived by her 14 children, Sharon “Sherry” (Dale) Horton-Lesak, Carol Richard, Joseph (Rick Lucas) Richard, Matthew (Brenda) Richard all of Streator, LaVerne (Shirley) Richard of Louisiana, Nancy (William) Johnson of Texas, Frances (James) Mitchell of Ottawa, Arthur (Christine) Richard of Hungary, Michael (Diana) Richard and John (Lonna) Richard of Florida, Jeffrey (Marybell) Richard of Pontiac, Rose (Michael) Passmore, N. Carolina, Helen (Scott) Grigg of N. Carolina and Steven (Tina) Richard of Wisconsin. Also is one sister Thelma “Tootie” Gouliard of Pekin and sister-in-law Dorothy Horton of Kangley.  34 grandchildren, 42+ Great-grandchildren, 3+ Great-Great-grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lela Horton, Lyla Whitney, Ellen Houchin and Mary “Boots” Reynolds, brother, Arthur, Robert, Walter, Donald, George, John, James, Ralph and Roy Horton and 2 grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Pet Project in Marseilles or New Bedford Christian Church in New Bedford, IL.
