Edward "Squeak" Easton, 65 of Streator passed away Friday afternoon (Jan. 10th) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 - 8PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be his sons, Jake, Carl, David and William, grandson, Lloyd Hardin, and friends Tom Wissen and Rob Gonzales.
Ed was born on December 15, 1948 in Mattoon, IL to Carl and Georgia (Peacock) Easton. He married Melinda Harding on July 17, 1977. She survives.
Also surviving are children, Corina Hardin of Oglesby, Erica (John) Flahaut of Paxton, Heather Swift of Streator, Jake (Laura Frederici) Swift of Streator, Carl (Michelle) Easton of Streator, David (Annalee Jason) Easton of Streator, William Easton of Streator, mother Georgia Easton of Streator, brothers, Larry (Dawn) Easton of Las Vegas, NV and Stephen Easton of Streator, sisters, Betty Dunkelburger of Streator and Patty (Don) Leonard of Cornell and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Ed attended Streator Grade School and High School. He served in the US Navy. Ed retired from Vactor Mfg in 2010 and owned and operated Squeaks Cycle, formerly known as E & M Cycle and E &M Cars Unlimited Body Shop. Ed was a former member of the Screaming Eagles and ABATE. He was a member of the New Life Christian Center in Cornell.
