Elaine Cheli

Elaine Cheli, 88 of Streator passed away Friday (January 29, 2020) at the LaSalle County Nursing Home.

Following cremation a visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Services will follow at 1 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Elaine was born on September 17, 1932 in Streator to John and Rose (Wahl) Centko.

Surviving are sons, John (Zhanna)Cheli and David (Alice) Cheli both of Ottawa, grandchildren, John “Stas” Cheli, Edward Cheli, Vadim Cheli, Dave Cheli Jr., Carrie Kubistal, Becky DePue, Danny Rice and Joe Zane and great-grandchildren, brother Florian Centko of Streator, sister Freda Elmore of Kentucky, sister –in-law Nancy Centko of Streator  and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Terry Centko and a sister Elveda Kakara.

Elaine was a member of the Lighthouse Full Gospel Church in Streator.
