Elidio R. Alvarado

Elidio R. Alvarado, 86 of Streator passed away Thursday (April 10, 2025) at his home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 – 7 P.M. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30A.M. at St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Elidio was born on February 28, 1939, in Mexico to Arcadio Alvardo and Domitila Ramirez. He married Maria Graciela Guajardo in December of 1964. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2015.

Surviving are, Maria Garcia, James Alvarado, Veronica Wilkinson, Michael Alvarado all of Streator and Martin Martinez of Texas, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandson and a brother Jose Orlando Alvarado of Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Edmundo Alvarado and sister Emma Alvarado.

Elidio graduated

from Martin High School in Laredo, TX and retired from Owens Illinois Glass in 2003.
