Pat Fortson

Elijah “Pat” P. Fortson, 38 of Streator passed away Saturday (November 25, 2023) at his home.

Private family services will be held at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with burial in Riverview Cemetery.

Pat was born on November 9, 1985, in Streator to Andrew Handzus and Patricia Fortson.

Surviving are his children, EvaLynn, Joshua, Annabella, Caleb, and Zoey all of Streator, mother, Patti Fortson of Streator, brothers, Adam Fortson of Auburn, IL and Michael (Erica) Fortson of Streator, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

He is preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, John and Mary Fortson, paternal grandparents Edward and Margaret Handzus.

Pat attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School.  He was formerly employed at the LaSalle County Housing Authority.  He enjoyed 4 wheeling, fishing, working on all types of vehicles.
