Elizabeth M. Balis

Elizabeth M. Balis, 92 formerly of rural Streator passed away Thursday evening (Oct. 8th) at Pleasant View Home in Ottawa.

Born September 15, 1917 in rural Streator to Michael and Anna (Palaschak) Kavinsky. She married Clemens J. Balis on May 10, 1952 he passed February 24, 1993.

Surviving are, Brother-in-law, William F. Gebhardt, Nieces, Delores (Wayne) Gunderson of Leland, Phyllis Lia of Montgomery and nephew, Fred Gebhardt of Streator and Great-Nieces and Nephews and Great-great-nieces and nephews

She is preceded in death by a brother, Andrew, 3 sisters, Ann Kelly, Elsie Connors and Jean Gebhardt

She was a former secretary at LaSalle County Clerks' Office and office work in Florida. She was a former member of the Streator Elks Lodge, she enjoyed needle work. She attended business school in Keokuk, Iowa.
