Eltie Janet Hart, 78 of Streator passed away Saturday evening (March 29) at The Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday from 9-11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 11AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois at a later date.
Eltie was born August 7, 1935 in Fairbury, Illinois to Harry and Jeannie (Teal) Overmier.
She married Charles R. Hart on November 10, 1957. He survives.
Also surviving are children, Susan (Christopher) Pavlick of Streator, Michael (Theresa) Hart of Tonica, Kathleen (William) Hedgspeth of Port Barrington, IL, and Ruth Hart of Ottawa, 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Rodrick, Jade, Chance, and Nicholas Darling, and 1 great-granddaughter, Sofia Rodrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Vernon, sister, Donna Thrasher, and grandson, Justin McMillin.
Eltie attended Pontiac Grade School and graduated from Pontiac High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Prayer Group and Totes all through the church.
Memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society or to The First United Methodist Church.
