Ethel T. Simons, 85 of Streator passed away Tuesday evening (June 7th) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10AM until noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at noon at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian, Brad, Jon and Matthew Dennison, Austin Clevenger and Scott Holland.
Ethel was born on January 11, 1926 in Streator to George and Grace (Soulsby) Hall.
She married Sidney Simons on January 25, 1946. He passed away May 15, 1976.
Surviving are daughters, Bonnie Simons of Streator, and Darlene Dennison of Rock Falls, IL, sister, Irene Werderitch of CA, 2 grandchildren, Brian (Shelly) and Brad (Tammie) Dennison, 7 great-grandchildren, Brian, Cameron, and Sidney Dennison, Amber Paladino, Austin Clevenger, and Jon, and Matthew Dennison, and 1 great-great grandson, Lucas.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Eggers, and a brother Bobby Soulsby.
Ethel attended Streator schools and retired from St. Mary's Hospital after 22 years in the cafeteria. She was a member of the former Manville Methodist Church and a devoted homemaker.
Memorials may be directed to The St. Mary's Hospital van service.
