   Evelyn Nina Small, 94 of Streator passed away Tuesday (May 3rd) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
   Following cremation, burial will be by her husband at a later date in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
   Winterrowd Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
   Evelyn was born September 3, 1916 in rural Long Point, IL to Alonzo and Ella Mae (Hughes) LeVelle.
   She married Forest V. Small on March 8, 1940 in Davenport, IA. He passed away January 4, 2002.
   Surviving is daughter, Kathryn (Donald) Rhodes of Manville, 4 grandchildren, David (Lisa) Rhodes of Long Point, Karen (David) Bigger of Pontiac, Melinda (Dan) Cusick of Pine City, NY, and Christina (Brad) West of Albion, IL, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Mary Lou (Leo) Weingart of Branson, MO, and Betty Ann (Gordy) Beutke of West Chicago.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, James Blaine Small, sister, Edith Jackson, and brothers, Arnold, Stephen, Howard, and Wayne LeVelle.
   Evelyn graduated from Long Point High School in 1940 and was a member of the Reddick Methodist Church in Reddick, IL. She was formerly employed at Streator Dry Goods and Opdyke's in Streator and Motorola in Pontiac. She taught ceramics in her home and was also a displayer and sold at Flea markets, but her passion was her love for flowers.
   Forest and Evelyn resided in Mazon and later moved to Reddick. In 1958 they moved to a farm near Manville until retiring to Streator. One of her greatest joys was being a farmer's wife.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
