Floyd L. Peck, 93 of Streator passed away Tuesday morning (July 3rd) at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 11- 12 Noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 Noon at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery with Flag Folding conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.
Floyd was born on November 10, 1924 in Chenoa Township to John and Hazel (Armitage) Peck. He married Clarice Bailey on September 23, 1951. She passed away August 19, 2006.
Surviving is his daughter, Debra Skoflanc of Ottawa, son Gregory (Phyllis) Peck of Streator and grandson, Henry Skoflanc of Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law, Christopher Skoflanc and sisters, Betty Harjes and Carrie Rabe.
He attended Lexington Grade School and graduated from the Lexington High School in 1941.
Floyd served in the US Army during WWII as a Corporal and retired from Owens Illinois Glass after 39 years in March of 1987.
He was a lifetime member of the Streator VFW Post #1492 and was also a member of the Golden Emblem Club and The Rail Splitters Society, 84th Division.
