Frances Dee

Frances Dee (Byrd) Zeilman, 88 of Varna passed away Tuesday (Oct. 20th) at her home.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 -11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Long Point Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Matthew, Lucas, Jeremy Zeilman, Jacob Berta, Matthew McGrath and Justin Cline.

Born January 19, 1921 in Cleburne, TX to Elisha A. and Melissa Pearl (Stanford) Byrd. She married Robert R. Zeilman on August 2, 1942, he survives. Also surviving are Terry (Barbara) Zeilman of Henderson, NV, Daniel (Lin) Zeilman of Palestine, TX, Steven Zeilman of Varna, Kathryn (Mark) Pillash of Piedmont, AL, William (Karen) Zeilman of Long Point, Michael (Cindy) Zeilman of Springfield, Karen (David) Berta of Varna, 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Billie Allen of Cleburne, TX, sisters-in-law, Faye Sloan of Long Point, Sally St. Clair of Sarasota, FL.

She is preceded in death by son, Joel Glen Zeilman Sr., granddaughter, Janet Lee, grandson-in-law, Gary Lee, grandson, Joel Glen Zeilman Jr., and a great-grandson, brothers, Eugene Byrd, J.C. Byrd, sisters, Wilma Wise, Moree Tidwell, Evelyn Allen.

She was a former member of the Long Point American Legion Auxiliary. Member of St. John United Methodist Church of Lacon, IL and previously long term member of Pierce's Chapel United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, TX. She graduated from Cleburne High School in 1939.
