Frank T. Schmitz

Frank “Freaky Frank” T. Schmitz, 61 of Streator passed away Monday (March 13, 2023) at the Aperion Care in Marseilles.

Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  The Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Frank was born on March 28, 1961, in St. Clair County, IL to Gene T. and Marleen B. (Hornung) Schmitz.

Surviving are children, Allen Alexander, Cory Alexander, Bradley Alexander and Frank Schmitz III all of Streator, his longtime companion Rhonda Schmitz of Streator, 9 grandchildren, sisters, Georgia Schmitz of Streator and Jeanna (George) Damron of Naplate, brother Darrin (Tara) Schmitz of Ottawa and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Frank attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, and working on motorcycles.  He was lastly employed at Hixon Lumber Sales.
