Fred Wm. Klein Jr.

Frederick “Fred” Wm. Klein Jr. 77 of Streator passed away Tuesday morning (October 27^th) at Heritage Health, Streator.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 4 – 8 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny and Rhys O’Brien, Rick and Dane Lehr, Mark Grammer and Mike Zachary.

Fred was born on November 7, 1937 in Streator to Frederick and Ruth (Novotney) Klein Sr.  He married Patricia Kauzlarich on June 6, 1990 and she survives.

Also surviving are children; Kim (Mark) Grammer of Ottawa, Karla (Rick) Lehr of Grand Ridge, Kayla McCormick of Palm Coast, FL, Kirk (Michelle) Klein of Gaines, FL, Daniel (Sue) O’Brien of Peru, grandchildren; Angela, Rachel, Natalie, Dane, Paige, Shailey, Mackenzie, William, Rhys, Rhyley and Danny, great-grandchildren; Kaylor, Jace, Jax, Deacon, Lennon and Aaron, sister; Carole Wade of Ottawa, brothers; Phillip Klein of Tilton, IL, Tom (Pat) Klein of Sycamore and Jim (Sandy) Klein of Sycamore, brother-in-law; Bob (Marilyn) Kauzlarich of Streator.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bob Klein, brother-in-law, Earl Kauzlarich.

Fred attended Grand Ridge Grade School.  He retired from trucking lastly with Zachary Trucking Co.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, coffee clutches, going to rummage sales.  His sense of humor and generosity and willing to help anyone will be greatly missed.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors’ choice.
