Freda L. Shoemaker

Freda L. Shoemaker, 81 of Marseilles passed away Thursday (Dec. 3rd) at her home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 - 8PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Woodside Maxom Cemetery rural Marseilles.

Serving as pallbearers will be, James Norton, Joe King, Joe Foster, Thomas Harwood, Thomas Harwood Jr., Robert Jordan, John Sullivan and Jerry Garretson.

Born May 19, 1928 in Indianapolis, IN to Edward and Gladys (Simpson) Jordan. She married James Shoemaker on July 3, 1959 and he passed October 29, 2002.

Surviving are, Daughter, Agnes (Richard) Norton of Bourbonnias, 5 grandchildren, Shawn (Tommy) Oshaughnessy of Clifton, Paula (Thomas) Harwood of Bourbonnias, John Wilson of Anna, IL, Amy (Joe King) Norton of Streator, James (Nikki Armour) Norton of Serena, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, brother, Donald Jordan of Streator.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister in law, Jean Ann Jordan.

She graduated from Flanagan High School in 1947 and she enjoyed crafts, crocheting and reading.
