Gary Lee Raridon

Gary “Red” Lee Raridon, 63 of Streator passed away Wednesday (June 1st) at his home.

A private family service will be held at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Phillips Cemetery with nephews Mike, Cody, Mathias, Evan Kegan and Dalton serving as pallbearers.

Gary was born on January 20, 1953 in Streator.  He was the son of Marlin and Yvonne (Heidenreich) Brown and Mervin Raridon.

Surviving is his father Marlin Brown of Streator, siblings Vicki (Dan) Webster of Streator, Sharon Shuett of Ottawa, Mike (Karan) Brown of Streator, Bill (Trisha) Brown of Streator and Lisa (Tony) Starkey of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, brother Marlin and Richard Brown both in infancy.

He attended Streator Grade School and Streator High School.  He served in the US Navy and was formerly employed at the former Ray’s Paint Store for many years and lastly at Riverview Cemetery.  Gary was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan.

Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
