Gerald D. Pilcher

Gerald D. Pilcher, 85 of Weslaco, TX formerly of Streator passed away Tuesday (Dec. 22nd) at the Texas State Veterans Home in McAllen, TX.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4-6 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Born, April 24, 1924 in Mendon, IL to Charles Edwin and Ada Bell (Sloniger) Pilcher. Married Betty Lou Freese on June 29, 1952. She survives.

Also surviving are, Sons, Gary Lee (Lynn) Pilcher of Folton, TN , Richard Ray (Shirleen) Pilcher of Willow Springs, MO, 4 Grandchildren, Ryan Ray, Meredith, and Blake Lee Pilcher, Hayley McCall, Sisters-in-law, Judith Wilson of Burlington, IA and Janet Williams of Wapello, IA, nephews and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-parents, Ernest (Catherine) Wykert, and sister-in-law, Bonnie Stewart.

He graduated from Culver Stockton College. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He retired as an accountant at Owens Illinois Glass, Streator. Former member of the First United Methodist Church, Streator.
