Gerlaine “Toots” M. Decker, 84 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (March 8th) at Heritage Health and Rehabilitation Care Center.
Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church.
Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
The Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Toots was born on October 22, 1933 in Streator to Samuel Mitchell and Frances Elizabeth (Faulkner) Cunningham.
She married Raymond “Chub” Decker on May 20, 1961. He survives.
Surviving are sons, Greg (Bunny) Fisher of Davis, IL and David (Brenda) Decker of Streator, 3 grandchildren, Christy Fisher, Jacob Fisher and Lindsay (Jason) Tincher, 5 great-grandchildren, Aiden Vargochik, Sylas and Dash Fisher, Clayton Englert and Chase Hamara, brother-in-law, Clarence Shaw and sister-in-law, Melva Cunningham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bill and Glenn Cunningham, sisters, Joyce Shaw, Nancy Szobar and Mary Jane Loy.
Toots attended St. Anthony grade school and graduated from Streator High School in 1951. She retired from Mediacom Cable. Toots loved spending her winters with her husband in Las Vegas.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
