Glen William Ballard Jr.

Glen W. Ballard Jr , 84 of Dana, Illinois passed away Thursday (December 10, 2020) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 PM at the funeral home with social distancing being followed and masks being worn.  Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Glen was born on January 3, 1936 in Taylorville, Illinois to Glen W. and Nora (Durbin) Ballard Sr.  He married Virginia A. Kieffer on July 17, 1970.  She preceded him in death on July 4, 2006.  He then married Patricia A. Mace on December, 2007, she survives.

Also surviving are his sisters Rita Susan Greer and Gladys Ethel Ballard. 

Glen was the treasurer and elder of Streator Seventh Day Adventist Church for approximately twenty years.  When that church closed due to low attendance, he moved his membership to Ottawa Seventh Day Adventist Church when he served as a board member until he passed.  He was a kind and gentle person who was passionate about serving His God.  He helped hundreds of people understand God and the Bible better through giving Bible Studies.  He will be missed by his friends and family and his church family as well.
