Harold Nick Marshall

Harold Nick Marshall, 83 of Streator passed away Monday morning (January 27, 2025) at his home.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 10a.m. to 12noon with a brief prayer service at 12p.m. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at a later date.

Harold was born on February 23, 1941, in Wenona to Wayne and Mary (Appel) Marshall. He married Peggy Cave on September 14, 1972. She survives.

Also surviving are daughters Jodie (Brian) Ruff of Long Point and Jessica (Matt) Blakemore of Streator, granddaughters, Jaelyn and Payton Blakemore, Hailey and Morgan Ruff. Also surviving are brothers Joseph Marshall of Wenona and Eugene Marshall of Atlanta, GA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Roy Marshall.

Harold graduated from Wenona High School in 1959. He served in the US Army from 1960 to 1963, he served as company clerk stationed in France for 1 ½ years. Harold retired after 44 years from Owens Illinois Glass on July 19, 2003, as a line production assistant. He was a member of the Streator American Legion.

Harold enjoyed helping his sons-in-law, working in his garden and attending his granddaughters’ sporting events.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Pet Project.
